Boy, do kids say the darndest thing.... I'm sure most people who read my blog don't know my dad. Those who do will find this extra amusing. See my dad was one of those guys who thinned early. In the 70's he must have just gone for the combover look (as you can see, my dad holding me at the hospital when I was born, late 1979). Over the last 40 years the "part" has just moved closer and closer to the ear. It's just not something we talk about. So, leave it to kids to bring up the unspoken...
Dad: well, Saturday I'm getting a haircut. Do you think I should get one cut, or them all cut?
Adam: (thinking) "what would happen if you just cut the big piece off? You know, that one right there (pointing)"
Dad: laughing," not sure, buddy"
Adam: "it's sort of long, you know?"
Dad: "well, I guess it is"
All: hysterical laughter
