Less the gorgeous blonde thing, of course.
I resigned myself about five years ago to the fact that my makeup free days are over, at least for the majority of the public's viewing.
I remember my uncle one time had me rolling on the floor laughing (or as the kids call it these days: rofl) when he referred to her show, Semi Homemade Cooking, as "Ain't Got Time For This @&$? Cooking". I'll let the analogy speak for itself.
So, between getting two kids and a husband out the door before 8:15 I need some shortcuts. Shamefully, one involves doing 3/4 of my makeup in the car at lights. Who doesn't love natural light, right? Please if you try this be sure you're stopped, and half paying attention to the light
So here's what I use:
At home: usual skin care routine -any face wash or dove soap and Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer. A must have for me. I've used this since I was a teenager and don't foresee a change. Love the stuff.
A quick coat of LancĂ´me LaBase Pro face primer. It makes everything stick and feels silky smooth.
Get in car, go.
Light one:
Swirl, tap, and buff Mary Kay Mineral Foundation. I don't do liquid foundation. It's a sensory thing. I do not prefer Bare Minerals, I look too cakey or something. Love this particular one for my skin. Follow with Nars Orgasm blush, it's the only one I'll ever use. Helps you achieve that look, with far less effort :)
Light two:
Almay intense I-color cream shadow for green eyes ($6, lasts all day and has shades for all eye colors), just draw and blend with your finger. Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in intense plum, and the mascara I prefer over the $20+ brands is cover girl natural luxe in black.
Light three: second coat of mascara.
