Friends!

Well, I often joke that Paul and I have no friends. I never say this to offend the MANY, MANY people that we have blessing our lives on a daily basis through friendship. But, what I mean when I say this is that so many of our beloved friends have went their own way... Nashville, Virgina, Texas, Toronto, Ottawa, Springfield, Rochester, Minnesota, Utica etc... I think not having these face to face relationships has affected me far more than Paul. He's usually fine with just one or two close friends. Me, on the other hand, I need a lot of people to have on hand for chatting, bouncing ideas off of, and just overall support. That's just me.
We have been blessed with a church family, many other couples with kids that are fun to be with and whom we enjoy a ton. But, with the demands of family, career, home life, and commitments we rarely get to enjoy time with them. Our hope is that will change in time.
So, we were thrilled to learn that Paul's buddy Steve, his wife Katrina, and their two darling kids were moving back to our area! Steve is not only a good friend of Paul's, but also a good friend of mine from college and he stood up in our wedding. During our wedding, his wife Katrina went into labor resulting in him leaving early to be present for the birth of his now five and a year old beautiful daughter, Tabitha. Since then, they also have a little boy, Joshua, who is about Adam's age! Great!! And, Katrina is a ton of fun and I look forward to having another mommy friend in the vicinity. It's nice for Paul to have a buddy that he can just pick right up with, and me to have someone that I can get to know and hang out with.
Plus, I learned through Steve that Katrina and I have the same guilty pleasure- DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!
Judge me... go ahead! Ha ha.

I have, of course, put in some newer photos of our fall fun! Now that winter is on our heels, I figured that I better get these up~

I can totally relate to your need for an array of good friends while your husband is content with one, maybe 2. Dan can almost go without, I'd say. And no one compares to Jay, so we're in a bind!
Great to hang with you for a little while in Nov. Love the photo of Zachary kissing you.
