Status Quo

It's hard to believe that with all that we have going on in our lives, I cannot think of anything specific to blog about! Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? Depends, I guess...
I guess it's good, everything being the "status quo". Messy house, laundry piled up, broken up sleep- but I say it all in a way that is more than content.
As everyone knows, we have a new president. If asked, my usual answer when trying to avoid a confrontational debate with no result is " I tend more towards conservative". I say this not to back down from my faith or the issues, but simply because I am aware that a work needs to be done in someone's heart to see truth on some of the big ones... that is a bigger job than I can do. I have to say, it's not that I was crazy about McCain/Palin, but if I had to choose they represented my value system more so than Obama.
I do, however, have to confess, that although I am taking liberty to put my two cents in, I chose not to vote, as in New York State my vote is useless. I realize that makes my entitlement to an opinion null and void, but I am giving one anyway! Ha!
Anyway, with the new president, though I may "tend towards conservative", I certainly will support our new leader, pray for our country, and do my best to have an open mind while keeping my values on my "non-negotiables."
One thing with this election that was cool was the passion it evoked, the response it created, and the history it made!
