Well, we made the voyage to Kingston to visit Grandpa and Grandma Vinkle and Uncle Scotti over the Thanksgiving holiday. I always find it amusing that as soon as we cross the border Paul starts talking kilometers, chesterfields, and "eh's" like he never left. He starts dreaming of poutine, yucky Canada pizza, and Canadian Tire just moments after we get out "go ahead" wave from customs. Funny stuff!
Let's just say that the trip there was eventful... bad weather, car sickness, public puking- ah the joys!! Luckily, we made it in one piece.
We enjoyed our stay! The last year or more has been filled with circumstances that has made travel for Paul's parents as well as us hard. They have only seen Zachary once, and Adam twice this last year. Hopefully, this year will be more often. I found it really refreshing, though, the way both Zachary and Adam seemed to sense that Grandma and Grandpa were their family. It was like they knew. The first thing that Adam said when we woke up the next day was "where are Grandma and Grandpa?"
It was nice to see the boys enjoying their time exploring a new place. Adam loved Uncle Scotti's drums! He just may be a musician in the making. Zachary, of course, had to become involved in drumming too! We were able to take a short trip to Chuck E Cheese, which as always is a treat. Overall, it was a nice time to get away from the pressures of home, a time to enjoy being a guest and spend some quality time with family.

What's a chesterfield? I'm curious because that's the name of our county...funny!
It's a couch.
