As some of you may know, my little Zachary has a preoccupation with ladybugs, or "aye-eee-uggs". For some reason, we have had ladybugs turning up in the house all winter, which has provided much delight and entertainment for my high spirited son!
As the little guy's birthday approaches, I am looking at cake ideas, which one do you like best? (Or, should I give up my Martha Stewart aspirations and just see what Wegmans has to offer?)

Hmmm...I'm liking #1 for cupcakes, and #4 for cake. I found a great recipe for fondant if you need one. It's pretty easy, and actually tastes good. :)
LOVE the idea of a ladybug cake!
Well if you get lazy you can just put pics of ladybugs on toothpicks and stick them in cupcakes. If you want to work I would go for the first cake!!
Very Creative! Great Photos! New blog on the Hx. of the Ladybug:

Wow...they are all pretty cute, but I really like #4 of the lady bug cake...but I know that if I tried to make it, it would never look anything like that! : ) Good luck with whatever you decide!!
#1! you can do it!
ps: heather is so lying! she would probably make it look better somehow!
They all look like a lot of work. Here's a suggestion...around here we have a farmers market type store that sells sprinkles of all shapes and sizes. Buy lady bug sprinkles or candy to put on a plainly frosted cake. That way the little guy can even help. Or you could even buy a lady bug toy to put on the cake that he could keep after the party.
