All taken on different days over the last month or so.
Born and raised here in Western New York and I don't remember green grass in winter ever as a kid. Just huge snow piles and allotments of snow days used, threatening to extend your school year (never happened).
Today, January 31, I saw laundry on a line while driving home from work. I breathed in fresh air, like the kind you love when you open your windows for the first time in April. I sped on country roads between here and the middle of Nowhere, NY where I spend Monday and Tuesday, where I would normally cautiously watch for ice patches.
While I'm really not complaining, I'm not sure what to make of it.
Either we'll pay dearly for this courtesy of warm lakes and cold air (WNY's worst enemy, lake effect snow), or maybe we will squeak into spring barely breaking out the Uggs ( or in my frugal case, Bearpaws).

I agree! It is hard to not be cautious that the weather is going to get us in the end. I guess we'll have to see what Mr. Groundhog says tomorrow!
