Happy 2012! Though 2011 handed us a few (minor) challenges, I am so thankful for health, needs being met, and supportive family and friends.
It's that time again.
Time for most to choose a resolution with great intentions. I can honestly and shamefully say I've never stuck to a resolution. Seems to be the case for many. I did quit nail biting this year though, making me realize that if I could beat a life long habit like that I could tackle others as well. As I've formulated mine, I'm left wondering why I didn't start last week, last month, or last year even. Makes me frustrated with myself for my lack of discipline.
My devotional for today says "Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year. Instead seek my face with an open mind , knowing your journey involves being transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Sarah Young, Jesus Calling highly recommend)
So, yes I have resolutions.
But I am trying to theme my start of the new year with the theme of control. Resigning some, gaining some. The areas I am hoping to gain some are probably the same as many. The areas I am going to try to resign some are for me to work though.
Included in these are the usual suspects...
Wish me luck, and good luck to you!
