Super simple, super delicious

We won't talk healthy. Because they're not.

The nice thing about this dessert is that chances are you have everything you need at home to make the basic recipe (which is my favorite way to eat them). Perfect if you're like me, forgetful and not a fan of going out once you're in.

Toffee Cracker Cookies.
2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
1 sleeve your choice saltines/club crackers/graham crackers

Preheat oven to 400.
In a saucepan combine butter and sugar and begin to melt on low.
Line cookie sheet with foil, line foil with the crackers, filling the sheet completely.
When butter is melted increase heat to medium and stir constantly until mixture is bubbly, and thickens almost to a marshmallowy consistency .
Pour mixture over crackers, smooth with spatula
Put in oven for 5-7 min
Let set for 1 hr and break apart into pieces. Or, if you're short time throw in freezer they'll set in about 15 min.

Variations:
Top mixture with slivered almonds or pecans before baking
After taking out of the oven sprinkle with milk chocolate chips. They'll spread easily in about 3 mins
Combo of any of the above
