I don't think that most mom's with children of any age will need this feeling explained, but my excitement is bubbling over so I decided to blog on this!
After a vision of a certain face Adam makes when he is happy and excited coming into my head repeatedly at the sight of a new tricycle, we indulged. We decided to ignore the logic of his June birthday being a perfect time for this gift and just go for it. Today, we ordered Adam this:
While we usually try to keep pretty moderate in our gift giving, but this was just something that we so wanted to do! I may wind up kicking myself and having skuffed walls for a few days before it gets put away, but c'est la vie...
Hopefully the camera will be ready to catch that moment next Thursday morning when "Shhanta Claus" comes to our house!
Oh, and P.S.- Adam only sort of gets this Santa thing. When asked who is "coming", he usually responds with a hopeful "Grandpy?" "Ami?", "Eileen?", "See-Rah and Matt?", and then remembers "Shhanta".... but he has mastered the art of tearing open gifts, which will be fun. We take Jesus out of our manger scene and talk about Him, but it's still a little over his head.
