On Facebook this is all the rage at the moment. I have learned a lot about several of my friends on there, so of course decided to do one of my own. Here it is again for those of you who have not joined the 21st Centruy and gotten on Facebook!
1. I am useless in an emergency or helping out in a stressful situation. Tell me what to do, and I will do it. Expect me to think fast, and you’ll be sorely disappointed.
2. I do believe that I have one of the worst memories known to man. I honestly could not reiterate a situation accurately if my life depended on it. This is one of the reasons I started blogging.
3. I could eat chips and/or cookies for just about any meal, any occasion.
4. I used to lay in bed with my boom box and listen to the Kiss 10 at 10 every night- who remembers that???
5. I absolutely love little hot dogs wrapped in pastry. Lots of ketchup please. Many of you may be thinking "EW". That's ok.
6. I never had to work that hard in school, I was one of those lucky book smart nerds.
7. I am a major homebody, yet I get stir-crazy if I do not get out of the house for a short time daily.
8. I love the show Friends. I have all 10 seasons, and have watched them at least 4 times through… maybe more. Add all the reruns from TBS etc, I have the series pretty much memorized.
9. My husband is the only guy I have loved, and I am very proud that we have been together since I was 20 and got married young. I would not have changed a thing.
10. Between my husband and me, I am definitely the disciplinarian in my house. This is not something that I am thrilled about. He is just a pushover (which works in my favor sometimes too...)
11. I used to be a lot nicer than I am now.
12. Even before I was a Christian, I used a lot of restraint in my choices (er, usually.) I had a strong sense of right and wrong.
13. Two character traits really irritate me-those who use gossip in combination with a mean spirit, and people who are unreliable then make it out to be your fault somehow.
14. I started smoking at 12… I had a really hard time quitting when I wanted to and hid it for a long time, and probably not as well as I thought I did. I am thankfully smoke free now (have been for quite a while), and surprisingly don’t miss it!
15. I really have a hard time with the question “are you going to try for a girl”. It somehow implies to me that if we did go for 3, that a boy would somehow be a disappointment. My gut tells me that if we did go for it, I would be able to title my life “My 3 Sons”, gladly.
16. For having such a horrible memory, I have the words to MANY 90’s songs memorized.
17. I am considering a career change.
18. I love to read, and always had my nose in a book when I was a kid. I am trying to get back into it, but once the kids are in bed and I have a chance usually TV or sleep wins.
19. I really hate working full time, but I do like my job.
20. Sometimes I just can’t get over how funny and good my kids are and how blessed we are.
21. I am pretty sure I am married to the most even-tempered, nice man alive. In our 9 years together, I think I have seen REALLY mad one time, maybe twice. However, DO NOT beep at him on the road. I will leave it at that.
22. I pretend to love Disney more than I do for my husband’s sake. (shhhh…)
23. I am pretty ignorant on world issues. This is a choice.
24. I love country music (not the twangy stuff though), even though there is not a country bone in my body.
25. While I value my education, I sometimes feel that I could be just as good at what I do without the degree…. The social work field is really more about experience and people skills, not book smarts.
